Last weekend I attended a Arizona Wood Workers Show at Woodcraft Phoenix. I saw some really great projects but I had a failed attempt to photograph them. I thought I had taken them but when at home there was nothing in the camera. Scott Philips (PBS The American Woodshop) was there and gave a number of presentations.
Sue went on a hike with the Desert Divas in downtown Tucson to view the wall murals on the streets. Here is a selection of what the viewed:
On Thursday I was assigned to photograph our site. I was on a new build site. The main work was correcting problems created by the "Professional Framers". This is a complex of a number of houses all single story slab homes with up to 5 bedrooms. Everything is on 24 inch centers with 2 by 6 external walls. One of the problems was that the extternal walls were not plum before the interior walls and trusses were erected. You can only imagine the problem this causes.
Next up today was the Desert Woodcrafters meeting. Each meeting member bring in projects to share. I will include a few pictures of the projects. The demo today was making Band Saw boxes.
Next week will be the Southern Arizona Woodturners Association meething.
